Review: User Meeting – Toolmaking in Creo 2025
On November 11, 2025, it was time once again: At Hotel Meiser in Dinkelsbühl, developers, users and partners gathered for the User Meeting “Toolmaking in Creo 2025” to exchange ideas, discover new developments and make valuable business contacts. The event offered a mix of technical knowledge, practical insights, and personal networking – all in a great atmosphere that encouraged discussion, questions, and new perspectives.
A successful start the evening before
Already on Monday evening, participants met for a joint dinner at the hotel. In a relaxed atmosphere, discussions unfolded and first experiences from daily work were shared. It was the perfect start to reconnect with familiar contacts and get to know new faces.
Exciting presentations and many “Aha!” moments
On Tuesday, the conference room opened its doors at 8 a.m. After the official welcome, the presentation program began right away with the following topics:
Updates in the Expert Moldbase Extension kicked things off and immediately sparked in-depth discussions on productivity and process optimization. This was followed by a short but equally informative look at SMARTElectrode.
After a brief coffee break filled with lively conversations, things continued directly: EMX & Color Coding and its various applications took center stage. Things became particularly interesting during the user presentation by FKT – a real-world case that demonstrated the application of Color Coding in detail.
After a joint lunch, the second set of presentations followed: Best Practices in Expert Moldbase Extension, Standard Parts from Windchill, and an exciting preview of upcoming features including Ejector Venting and Component Search. The presentation on these new features was especially well received.
The takeaway? Clearly positive – many participants walked away with concrete ideas they want to try out back at their companies.
A final highlight: Factory tour at TE Connectivity
After another short coffee break, the group headed to Sinbronn to visit the TE Connectivity plant. Following a warm welcome, the team guided visitors through the production facilities and provided exclusive behind-the-scenes insights. For many, this was an absolute highlight – technology up close, tangible and impressive.
Around 6 p.m., an event full of input, exchange, and inspiration came to an end. We look back on an intense, insightful, and very pleasant day. A big thank-you goes to all participants, the speakers, and especially the hosts of the factory tour – without you, this day would not have been possible!
We are already looking forward to the next meeting – and to continuing to drive toolmaking in Creo forward together.
