PTC/User Benelux Event, Nov 29th 2019

At November 29th, the next PTC/User event will take place in Eindhoven. We will have a small booth and a presentation about “rule-based coloring of 3D models”.

Today, many companies are starting projects in the area of MBD and finding this approach very beneficial for their processes. Although it still seems to be somewhat cumbersome and slow to apply product and manufacturing information (PMI) to a 3D model in a traditional way.

Color coding is a modern approach to apply PMI to a 3D model and already can cover many use cases of PMI content. In this presentation you will see examples how a sophisticated rule set will automate the color application and speed up the whole process of transferring PMI to downstream functions.
