This year’s PTC/USER Global Summit took place in Orlando, USA, from January 22nd to 26th, 2024. Organised by the PTC User Organisation, this event is the largest of its kind in the world with a total of 700 participants. As a sponsor of the event, we were once again represented this year with an exhibition stand and a presentation.
Exciting keynote
The large number of presentations and workshops from the areas of Creo Parametric, Windchill, etc. offered the opportunity to learn more about the subject and to network with other experts. A particular highlight of the conference was the keynote presentation by Robert Hogg, who was responsible for the loading of the Mars rover Preserverance in 2020.
Our Presentation and booth
At our booth in the exhibition area, we had many interesting discussions with customers and partners about our products. We also took the opportunity to show our software solutions in action. In his presentation “Smuggling PMI reliably over obstacles along the Creo data motorway”, Jan Stothfang showed how to use our MBD tools to transfer manufacturing information in Creo from the product to subsequent processes. Because today many companies are looking at MBD/MBE and find this approach very beneficial for their processes. In addition to the application of product and manufacturing information (PMI) at the 3D model level, the transfer of this information from product development to downstream functions is the essence of a fully-fledged MBE process.
Thanks to the conference hosts
We would particularly like to thank the people from PTC/USER for organising the event. From our point of view, the event was a complete success, both professionally and personally, and we look forward to participating again in the future.
Presentation slides
We would like to make the presentation slides available to Download [PDF] for those who stayed at home or want to recap the presentation.
