New versions of SMARTElectrode for Creo Parametric are now available!

SMARTElectrode 15.1.0.0 / 14.1.0.0 / 13.1.0.0 / 12.1.0.0

Enhancements

  • New option LATERAL_KEEPOUT_DISTANCE to define the minimum distance in X/Y direction from the base that must not be disturbed by workpiece geometry.

  • New option SOLID_CONTOUR_CLEARANCE to define minimum clearance from solid contour in X/Y direction to calculated the necessary minimum blank size.

  • New method to calculate default start and secure position. Result was dependent on position of EDM_ORIGIN csys. Since this release the contour height of electrode is taken into account when positions are calculated.

  • Output and Postprocessor now allow the export of Creo View files.

Improvements

  • Prefer template without rotation (C=0°) on creation of base if several templates with saem cross-section are available.

  • Allow locking/unlocking of automatic calculation of free blank dimensions. After unlocking automatic calculation the default behavior for inputs will be activated.Activation of the default behavior for the input
  • Available since Creo 7 and SMARTElectrode 13.1.0.0
    Export profiles are automatically taken into account when saving 3d models in an exchange format. If no prepared export profile for the respective file type is found in the configuration, the Creo default profile is used. Available Types:

    • VDA – def_profile.dep_vda
    • STEP – def_profile.dep_step
    • IGES – def_profile.dep_iges
    • CATIA – def_profile.dep_catv5
    • SAT – def_profile.dep_acis (Acis)
    • NEUTRAL – def_profile.dep_neu
    • X_T – def_profile.dep_para (Parasolid)
    • UG – def_profile.dep_nx (NX)
    • JT – def_profile.dep_jt (additional license necessary)

Bugfixes

  • Allow renaming of manufacturing assembly and workpiece from default names in Manufacturing UI.

  • Fixed calculation and display of custom start positions.
